The Danish Technological Institute (DTI) is a self-owned not-for-profit institution approved by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education as a technological service provider (GTS Institute). Role in project
DTI is leader of WP5 (Chemical identification, biochemical characterization and substance purification) and is responsible for the mass spectrometry-based proteomics analyses within WP 3, 5, 6, and 7. The Proteomics Laboratory, DTI has strong competences in the development and use of novel mass spectrometry-based proteomics methods for molecular characterization of biological systems, with particular experience in quantitative nano-LC MS/MS methods and subproteome analysis such as phosphoproteomics. This expertise will be used in the Marine Fungi project for the molecular characterization of drug mode of action and drug target identification (WP7). Phosphoproteomics techniques will be applied to elucidate cell signaling pathways of cancer cell lines affected by drug exposure (WP5). Furthermore, mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics will be used in WP3 and WP6 for the optimization of fungal production of specific anti-cancer agents.
